5/1/2003: Turning torso architecture

This is a model of a building currently being built in Sweden, called "Turning Torso". When it's done it'll be residential, 54 stories high; and it'll twist 90 degrees from the bottom to the top.

(Permanently - it won't suddenly twist in the middle of a big wind storm or anything.)

The structure has its own web site with a ton of details and more photos.

Cool!

It looks like it has more than 4 sides.

I imagine that would be so freaky (at least until you got used to it).

I'd wonder how safe it is.

Man, I was clicking on everything, trying my hardest to translate. Then I got to the bottom and saw that they had an English version. DOH!
