I think I'm leaning towards Farmer. But that might just be the imagery we get from TV speaking.....I mean, there are farmers in every country...nothing particularly American about that. jinx offered Lawyer last night......but her instant answer was fireman. How about police officer or soldier?

All countries have those basic jobs: Cop, fireman, soldier, farmer. Nothing American about them at all. Look at Nazi propaganda sometime. Some strong themes there.

Americans invented fast food. Fast food restaurant manager all the way, baby.

Are we really the only country that has cheerleaders? I'm surprised that Japan doesn't.

Are we counting copycat nations? Hmm Japanese cheerleaders. In Japan, self promotion is not the social norm. it's generally a collectivist society isn't it? Somehow the image doesn't fit. But i'm sure they have them somewhere. You find little girls in cheerleader costumes in England too, and may even find the odd professional squad. But they're just copying the cool Americans. I'm sure they're everywhere, but see a picture of a cheerleader and you think "America".

Interesting -you're most likely to get an immigrant visa if you're an engineer, so you can't have enough of them! that's how we ended up here....
