We have cats too; two. Caesar and Cleopatra, they're siblings. Cleo is all black except for the sparsest white blaze on her chest. And she's shy, not just camera shy. I have lots and lots of pictures of her looking away, or looking at the camera with her eyes shut.. it's aggravating.

But this one turned out really cool. She's just relaxing on SonofV's chest.

added second picture, cropped.

Which one do you like better?

I actually prefer photo 1, just because you can tell it's a real effect, captured in a photo. Photo 2 - although I know it is real - could be a drawing, a painting etc.

Nice catch.

I stopped on the way down our path yesterday. This is what visitors to the house often see - especialy if they call when I'm due home!
Second pic includes reflections of the flowers behind me.

It's actually very sleek - I've heard it compared to a rabbit's pelt.
Either way I often threaten to skin him.

Sundae, if it's not being too nosy, what's the little box on the wall under the window, by the door?

Weather monitor? [/curious]

Weather monitor.
One of Dad's little gadgets. Mostly used be me to prove it's nowhere near as cold as they're suggesting.

Diz is incredibly sleek. When he moves the speckling on his fur ripples with the muscles underneath and he looks like some kind of wild thing. A miniature big cat. He's tiny, but appears to be constructed almost entirely of muscle and eyes. Knowing eyes at that.

Without a doubt one of the most handsome cats I have ever seen. He looks lovely in photos but they really don't do him justice. This is a cat you have to see in motion.

I'm putting this here because this is where I've talked about the family pets before:

My brother's wonderful Rhodesian Ridgeback, Amber (aka Amble-scramble, aka Fat Lass) was taken for her final vet trip last night. She'd been a good dog for 12 years and she will be much missed. Her last moments at the vets were very peaceful. They took her bed with them and when they put it down in the corner of the surgery she went straight to it and lay down, peaceful and relaxed. The vet got two syringes ready because of her size, but then she'd gone before the first syringe was finished. She must have been so close to the end.

RiP Amble-Scramble. Bezzy mate and occasional girlfriend to Pilau and Dante, staunch protector of Meels and Sophie, steadfast guardian of the family home.
