PRO ---- crastination

I've been procrastinating for weeks about the growing pile of admin on my desk. I hope you can hear me invoking the advice I gave you, Dana, loudly all day today. God but it's so HARD to make myself just deal with each bit of paper as it comes up. Even though some of it has been SO EASY to deal with once I actually just got on with it!
And now I've got to the bit I really RESENT having to do. Once upon a time I had a part time job in a worthy company. It went bust. It restarted. It ceased trading before it went bust again. I have agreed to do caretaker business management for nothing until it can afford to hire a business manager. It's something I really do NOT need on top of my other more immediate concerns but I can't let my friends down on this one.
BumMER.
Back to the job, Limey!

So it's taken me an hour and three quarters to type up some metting notes which should have taken 10 minutes. And now I've STILL got all that other admin sh1t to deal with and I'm SO inclined to stop because I think I've acheived something when actually I've not done much because of all that PRO-crarse-tination.
Oh GAWD!
Back to the job, Limey!

I not done no tax returns yet. I did the 1pm scrip order -but I left it so late I had to submit (12:56), work out what I'd missed and then phone up and add them . And I've done the news for the school weekly packet (which could have waited until midnight). Gotta phone the tax people, create one or two returns, go to the PO to file them, create a budget for the swim team, process a few swim team appliation forms and forward the weekly email to those not yet on the email list....... and what am i doing, again?

Oh NOES! I've got to a really difficult layer (pre-Cambrian)!
My mother's council tax rebate (for the house she stayed in for a fortnight before being shipped via three hospitals to a nursing home)
Long overdue company return for a company which ceased trading eight years ago and the affairs of which I'm trying to finally finalise
Returned cheque in respect of above company from a bloke who had been at that address until recently - what happened? Did he die?
Makes paying some arrears on my national insurance seem like the fun option next.

I've fed the snake!
I've set up the account details for online bank transfer of NI payment, but am awaiting "confirmation" of these details.
Can I go now miss? And do the rest on Wednesday (am wurking tomorrow).
Please?
