Goodbye Facebook

I am locked out of Facebook because of their new lack of privacy policy. I don't see any reason that they need a copy of my Drivers License. So, if we've been keeping in touch on there, I'm not ignoring you.

Interesting. They didn't ask me for a driver's license.

I had wondered how you were able to get away with your handle over there, since they claimed to require real names. I wonder if they just ran all their user names through a database of real names to look for any atypical names. There are a lot of strange names out there in the world. I wonder if they have sent that request to anyone who is actually using a real, albeit unusual, name?

I didn't get one for my other persona "Monstera". Are you sure it's for real?

snopes says No.

A hoax, though you may well be locked out of Facebook for some other nefarious reason.

This isn't an email. When I try to log in to Facebook I get the message ... different devices, different log on methods ... Web and app.

well, shit.

clearly, glatt has more correctly identified the source of your trouble than I had. it's easy to say F U Facebook, but you might not want to do that. What if you just ginned up some "ID"? Like a library card, or membership card, etc?

Insane thing is, according that wired article, whoever dropped the dime gets to hide their identity, but your identity must be exposed.

My buddy's late dog (I don't know if anyone will remember Crash) had an account under 'Crashy Luv', with no troubles.

He never mentioned any, anyway...

I also know a dog on FB. And a couple people with handles other than their real name.

I think they are all good until somebody drops a dime.

Heh.

In space, no one can hear you scream.

On the Internet, no one can hear you bark.

A Boeing 757-2J4ER first flew in May 1991. The brand-new airliner was delivered to Sterling Airlines, a now defunct Danish low-cost carrier.

A couple years later, it found its way into the fleet of Mexico's TAESA, also a now defunct airline.

In 1995, the jet was purchased by Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen. For the next 15 years, the Boeing served as a corporate runabout for the billionaire's various interests.

And then... and then... along came Trump.
In 2011, Trump took delivery of the then 20-year-old jet and added his personal touches, at great expense. Electronics galore, silk sheets, gold plated bathroom fixtures and seat belt buckles, and more.

Just think how many people he fucked for this.
