plague of some sort.

Short of breath. Coughing. Occasional but inconsistent wheezing. got sick yesterday, continuing today. Last time I called out sick I was having my gall bladder removed.

Good Lord woman, be careful! Have you had bronchitis? The flu is making its move now...

No history of bronchitis , far as I recall. Had the flu shot [mandatory] so or shouldn't be that.

Maybe it's the rockin' pneumonia and the boogie woogie flu.

Lung infection perhaps?
Possibly a flare up of COPD if there's any history, especially if a smoker or recently quit.
if sudden and persistent then could be a small pneumothorax (I've had 7 or 8 of those over the years) especially if, on top of the wheezing, it feels like you've inhaled something solid that you can't cough up.

if I think of any more good news I'll let you know

Sounds like bronchitis to me. At least from my brief (3+ weeks) flirtation with it the other year. In the end it was only time that slayed it; inhalers and antibiotics just didn't touch it.

Good luck.

Sounds like pneumonia to me too. Mr Limey got it out of nowhere last year. Please see a doctor.

Oh, Wolf, that sounds horrible. I concur with the others: see a doctor.

Wolf, is your temperature rising, is your jukebox blowing a fuse, is your heart beating rhythm, has your soul been singing the blues?

Girl, you got the rockin' pneumonia...Ya need a shot of rhythm & blues.
