It doesn't matter to me, but I was asking for the album not the band.

Well, okay, I'll go, then.
How can you tell Steve Vai's Ibanez from Paul Gilbet's Ibanez?

Seven Strings. (Vai has a Low B, I think.)

Well, vai does have the Universe series...
To clarify, how can you tell Vai's JEM from Gilbert's sig?

Crap, I'm just a drummer. I thought I had that one.
EDIT: You know what, out of curiosity, since I thought you said I was wrong, I Googled "Paul Gilbert Signature" and it does only have six strings. So, I was right. Maybe not the answer you expected, though.

Yeah, but see, the Universe isn't really Vai's signature, it's more like the sister guitar to the Jem that Vai helped design. It's a distinction I should have made, for clarity. But madd propz for knowing that Vai pioneered modern 7-string use.

I have a question ready to go. Can we get a ruling on this?
EDIT1: I just read your last post. Thanks. Passion And Warfare is one of my desert island albums. EDIT2: I still think I correctly answered the specific question you asked, though.

I'm sorry, but the 7-string Universe isn't really Vai's sig, and he doesn't play it very often at all, either.

You didn't specify "signature" guitars. He frickin' invented it, to me that makes it "his."

I am going to flip a coin. Heads, it's your turn; Tails, we wait. It doesnt affect me either way, so I have no reason to lie.
Tails... Sorry, man. Difference between the Jem and the PG.

It isn't a coin-flip issue. You asked a question and I answered it.
