Feb 17, 2009: You Go Girl...
Ralph Kramden said, "Pow, to the moon, Alice, to the moon".
America laughed at the preposterous notion that Alice, or anyone, could go to the moon... in 1955. Fast forward a couple of years and JFK said, to the moon America, to the moon. So we sent men into space and then women too. Now, there's a woman on the International Space Station named Sandra Magnus, and she wants more women in space. Quote:

It's useless to get these kids' hopes up. In space, no one can hear you dream.

so, to girls, hair is more important than anything? I know it was tossed off in jest, but that is still a very sexist remark.

In my experience, teens will focus on the least important detail in order to dismiss something as "completely lame". Prejudiced? Yes. But so much humour relies on that. That's why it made me laugh, anyway.

No it isn't. you're the one who inferred that they would think it because they were girls rather than for any other reason (like being young and superficial)

Maybe we got it all wrong with those punk kids in the 80's and their spiked mohawks. Maybe they were just hoping to be astronauts.
