LJ question

I know this is your area of expertise and if you ever have a question about making candy or pulling calves feel free to ask me.

So if I were to buy a used 4wd pickup and I had the choice of 2 vehicles comparably priced, one is a very extravagant leather seats the works, powerstroke diesel 2006 with 181, 000 miles and the other is a xlt well maintained 2003 with 85, 000 miles one owner, in your expert opinion which is the better buy? TIA

I'd wonder why anyone would be selling a truck with only 85k miles on it. Seems early. Unless a lease is over or the first owner died or something.

Thanks Zippy! Glatt I wondered that too and I think by the looks of that truck that is was a 'for looks only" vehicle not really bought for any kind of farm work the interior is too clean for a 12 yr old truck.

I called about the diesel seems the tranny was recently rebuilt and has a 3 year warranty. YAY! It gets 15-20miles a gallon... bummer...

For my opinion to have any value, I'd have to see and drive each. On the surface, I agree with zippy too. Higher miles in less time indicates more easy miles.
