The regs seem pretty specific to me:
...require Federal Firearms Licensees to report multiple sales or other dispositions whenever the licensee sells or otherwise disposes of two or more rifles within any five consecutive business days with the following characteristics: (a) Semi automatic; (b) a caliber greater than .22; and (c) the ability to accept a detachable magazine. http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/2010/pdf/2010-31761.pdf SO if such reporting requirements already exist for multiple sale of handguns, why not weapons like AK-47s? I'm not interested in taking away any citizens rights, but when someone can walk into a gun store and buy 40 AK-47s at a time with no reporting by the dealer, IMO, there is something wrong with the system. And I'm still trying to understand how a reporting requirement is a part of a broader plan to take away Second Amendment rights. Last edited by Fair&Balanced; 07-20-2011 at 02:51 PM. |
