August 18, 2008: Ice people art installation

Via Neatorama comes this item. Brazilian artist Nele Azevedo created this installation out of nothing but frozen water... and time. The piece was obviously temporary... lasting until the last little person melted.

Is it a global warming statement? Does it speak to how temporary our time is? Or is it just a cool thing to suddenly see hundreds of icemen cometh to the steps of your local plaza?

I'm surprised there were so many. 'Cause you just know all the women were frigid and all the men were coldhearted.
