August 26, 2011 Little Orphan Otter

Meet surrogate mom Joy and baby otter Pup 540.

Joy was once a stranded pup herself. She was found in 1998 when she was only two weeks old. To date, this is her 15th foster baby.

Pup 540 (the 540th pup to be rescued) was found washed up on a Cayucos beach in California on April 28 of this year. She was only one day old.

She is not given a name because when she is old enough she will be sent to another aquarium and they get to name her.

So Cute!

Sautee in butter then add blue cheese, green onions, and mushrooms. Serve on fettuccini.

Leave Rosemary and her breast implants out of this! -She can't drink while she's on those painkillers.

Italians ... ALL the time. But I am thinking a blush or strong oaky chardonnay would be better with Rosemary
