Nostalgia food finds

Dagney found a blast from my past for me this past weekend...Sarsparilla soda! I haven't had that since I was 10 or so. I had forgotten about it entirely!

I bought two six-packs and brought them home.

What else did we find that we thought was gone forever?

Brian

I used to love grape licorice laces. I still buy the red ones sometimes, but the grape are still my faves. The only time I ever found any grape ones was in the Poconos about 15 years ago. Anybody know where I can get some??? (I looked on an "old fashioned candy finder" web site that came up when I tried to google a while back, but they didn't actually have any.)

Anytime the subject of unusual confections comes up, I must refer to Bad Candy. You won't be disappointed.

That has to be one of the funniest sites on the web. I don't care what anyone says. The first time I found that site I started laughing out loud at work. I'm usually able to control myself in front of 30 people I don't know.

I liked what they said about these!!

http://web.archive.org/web/201112292...ies/fizzymilk/

Sad....Thier site looks like crap now compared to how it looked then..... Why do people not care if thier sites goto crap??

Anyway: One time I found a can of hersheys chocolate syrup with an expiration of 12/2014 and it was delicious!! (They had changed it and all the ones after expiration 6/2016 tasted like crap)

This was an example of how the expiration date doesnt mean anything as this was STILL ON THE SHELF and 4 years passed at least....... (Its amazing though they didnt notice the date years before and take it off (It is a convienent store))

That is what I would call a Nostalgia food find!!!!

As Einstein said, time is relative (I paraphrase). For some of us, 2014 is in the future.
