A game of...thrones

We're getting our bathrooms remodeled soon. What kind of toilets should we get?

I like this high-sitter:

If you are serious, a few years ago we got the American Standard Champion 3. It is outstanding. A very solid, well designed toilet that I have never seen get clogged. The one it replaced got clogged about once a week. The horn of the Champion 3 is taller than in the previous toilet, and the wax ring fits tightly over it. It is a much more substantial connection to the sewer pipe flange. The previous toilet also used to leak at the wax ring about once a year, and need to be reset. This Champion 3 has never leaked. I understand since then, American Standard has come out with a Champion 4 that is supposedly even better.

The high rise models are nice as we age as long as you don't expect kids or really short adults to use it. That being said the A. S. Champion 4 has a neat video where they flush all kinds of things including some very realistic looking poop that is actually a big pile of miso!

Whatever John you get you might want to go all out with one of these bidet seats that washes your butt and is heated for chilly mornings. Think about how much toilet paper you will save!

Heated seat and a wash your butt system!

My parents have one of those fancy toilet seats with the spray wands and heated blowers and stuff. I think it's super gross. All that machinery is there just under the lid and gets poop splash on it. Lots of little crevices and stuff in between that machinery and there is no way that it's ever going to be cleaned properly. I stay away from that particular toilet in my parent's house.

Being a big and tall guy, I love ADA height toilets.

What no servants to clean it up?

If $ is an issue, the Champ 3 is still 75% as good as the Champ 4.

Or you could really puzzle the family and your friends with this one which is more like what you will find in the Middle East and Asia:

It was half in jest. We ARE getting our bathrooms remodeled by the owners and they ARE putting in high-sitters...what kind, I'm not sure. I think my parents had an American Standard one put in a couple years before dad died, and it was pretty damn awesome...wish I knew which model.
