heart attack meal

Thankfully my arteries have recovered after the dinner I made for my parents:
Vichyssoise for starters (no pic, sorry), then fresh king crab and beef Wellington with mashed taters & gravy..... oh just talking about it hurts...

Just goofing around with the crab - I didn't cook him on the bbq....but he did get cooked, and he was yummy!!

OMG
You have just made my wait for the sandwich trolley oh so much harder (because even when it arrives I'll still be lusting after yoiur dinner).

I LOVE Beef Wellington and I LOVE crab (never considered having the two together I must admit). I now feel the need to go & buy some steak on payday - I don't eat red meat often but when I get to craving it, the craving is strong.

I've pretty much eliminated seafood from my diet entirely -- catches are falling off, and fish farming can only make up some of the deficit. We've a much better understanding of how to keep land critters sustained.

And there's tofu -- and there's a fairly long list of fish I prefer tofu over. Some varieties of fish can really only be made fun to eat with blackened-fish seasoning and cooking technique.
