Oct 1st, 2013: Giant Mushroom Invasion
This frightened me when I saw them almost right outside my door. There are several . I guess they are 'ginormous' puff ball mushrooms! All I could think of was "Invasion of the Body Snatchers!"
The next one is a bit past it's expiration date and might be even bigger than the first one! Notice the split down the middle! I think my husband has been acting strange ....

Freaky! It's enormous. Like a beluga head poking through though the ground.
And why haven't you eradicated all that poison ivy so close to your house? |

Puffballs when eaten at the right point are apparently an epicurians delight.
I'd never trust anyone unless I bought from someplace I could sue or from somone whose Certification of Knowing Mushrooms card I'd seen. I'm sure they exist. I was once at a party and met a real Official Inspector of Breastswith a card and everything. Weird because when my six foot boyfriend appeared he remembered another appointment... Seems to have been a bonza year for the shrooms over here as well. I see various types everywhere on the way to work, gardens, trees, the park. Not bizarre locations, like my cat's head, but places I've not seen them in previous years. Hot Summer wet Autumn here maybe? Oh BTW, you realise that man is not really Ed Delaney but really Norman Cook aka Fat Boy Slim (superstar DJ). Just so you know.
