Buyers Remorse - Presidential candidates who would have been better than GWB

Ok, so about %60-70 of the country disapproves of at least some of the current Presidents work. So, going back to past actual and potential candidates, who would have done a better job?

I limited the list to past individuals who ran as a presidential or VP candidate but who never served as POTUS.

A talking pig, a doll, a crackhead, Al Gore (who won)... and just about anyone else who is not a neo-con.

A harder question: who would have done a worse job?

Maybe some of the people he appointed to important positions.

I would have enjoyed another 8 years of Bill Clinton, if it were possible.

So would Monica.

The results were interesting, although I'm not sure everyone understood that you could vote for more than one person and that the question wasn't 'Would they make a good president', but rather 'Would they have f***d up less than GWB?'

That being said, I'm still surprised one of our uber-hawks hasn't clicked the 'final option'. It might be because even they can find someone on the list who would have done a better job. I personally would have preferred Buchanan to Bush. I don't agree with a lot of the man's politics, but I respect his intelligence and insight.

In GWB's case, the Democratic system has exposed it's one flaw, that the majority gets what it wants and that the person who is the best at getting elected isn't necessarily the best at doing the job.

GWB, was very good at making promises. Even when his domestic and foreign policies were in a shambles, he could fire up the base on stem cells, flag burning, gay marriage, etc, until they finally got tired of the game.

Not one on the list or off the list. There nobody more qualified, better equipped or better prepared to be the president.

God told me and he never lies to me.
