Is a sense of humor important?

Do you feel that humor is an important aspect of an individual’s personality?

Do you feel that humor is an acceptable part of a community of individuals?

Humor is mandatory for me. If you don't have a sense of humor, then I probably won't have much fun with you. I can be a big goof ball sometimes and I like someone to laugh with me. Laughing makes most people happy anyway.

Besides, it is good exercise.

I can not remember who said it but... "laughter keeps you alive" or something to that effect? Perhaps George Burns?

And "B"... wow, you hit the nail on the head for many i have read here although; "I" do not lump everyone at this place together.

*Disclaimer... I would make a much longer, deeper thought induced post if I did not have to ready myself for work and tend to the children before they go to school. *takes breath* And since I do not surf the net from work (because I actually DO WORK) I will not be responding again until whence I arrive back to my humble abode and feel a desire to make "light" of life as it tends to be tense at times and I go to the net to have a bit of fun. *takes another breath*

There are alot of people like this. I remember that right around the time that Rock Hudson died, Philadelphia Flyers goalie Pelle Lindberg died in a car crash. A friend of mine, who was a big Flyers fan, was laughing as he told Rock Hudson jokes (what did RH die form? Botulism - he got bad meat in the can) so I asked him how they knew that Pelle Lindberg was a hockey player - they found a face off in the front seat. Same kind of humor, right? I guess not. My friend didn't laugh, he just shook his head and said "that ain't right, man".

Yes, but would he admit that he has the right to lash out if he doesn't get the joke?

That is hilarious. Right up there with "What was the last thing that went through Jim O'Brien's mind?"

I often drive around the Pelle Lindberg curve. It was actually a little disappointing when they evened it out some, takes the challenge out of that road.

When I have passengers I point it out, as it's essentially a tourist destination.

This is a redundant post, but thought it fits here too.

Stubbs The Clown:

"Oh, I forgot to tell ya...I QUIT! I quit! Ha! I resign! Are you gettin' this completely in your ear? I am PROFOUNDLY outta here! And this ain't about money. I ain't even complaining about my dry cleaning bill. But hang around with elephants all day and try to keep YOUR clothes clean!
But that's not the point. The point is, I quit. Quittski! Over-and-outski! That's all she wrote! KEEP MY LAST CHECK, BUDDY!
Here's my shoes, my nose, my horn, my buzzer, my fake arm, my bug-eye glasses, my backstage passes, my hat, my rabbit, HIS backstage passes...my fake fangs, a few birds, my pogo stick, my donkey ears, my extending tongue gag, my rubber chicken; Ya can't even get these anymore; my lucky whale tooth, and a giant clam that opens to reveal the American flag held by a mermaid and her normal brother, Richard!!

SO LONG!!

Oh, and by the way, in case you're wondering why I'm talking and they're laughing, let me explain it to ya...THAT'S COMEDY!"

Yes yes! Humour is important.

I found it! I saw this the other day, and couldn't find it on the search function.

So funny. Thanks for the smile. * hug * to you nice lady.

The funniest quips I see are found at the bottom of this page.

Don't let your mind wander -- it's too little to be let out alone.
