/rockingchair w/shawl&spectacles/... back in my day people didn't feel the need to make a big to-do and a formal introduction, they just came-on in and sat down and joined the party, sorta merged on in, but nowadays kids gotta make it all special and about them with a pony and a pokemon cake or whateverthemcallit now.../rocking chair, shawl& spectacles/

I always thought it was short for "choda." Sort of NSFW

Someday, you will go back and read this post, and say to yourself, "Holy shit, I was such a 22-year-old back then!" It ain't a bad thing, mind you. We were all 22 once. A handful aren't even there yet!

Thanks for the further welcomes.

Yes, it is also spelled "choad," but "chode" is more suitable, as it's much closer to "code."

(That, and I prefer it, as it's not so close to "toad.")

Either spelling, however, is both accurate, and correct!

I already feel so old... You, Clodfobble, have made me feel a little younger. Thank you!

Monster - I feel dreadfully ashamed that I was unable to fulfil your entire "introduction quota," and I can only hope that you don't hold it against me, in future discussions that we may share.

Sounds like a plan, but... that could be quite awkward.

Flat screen monitor? Or old, chunky one? Either way, your future isn't looking too bright.

Try not to get the monitor too wet! It could end in catastrophe.

(I rarely sleep, by the way, monster. I'm a recovering insomniac.)

Welcome Chode! I am the house curmudgeon. Enjoy your time. Like any place you will enjoy some exchanges and not so much with some others. Just be yourself and enjoy.
