no no no ... not SAM-HANE.

pronounciation: /sow-WEN/ (that's "sow" like a female pig, not "sow" like throwing seeds into a field)

Celtic New Year.

Yeah...even by a lot of Pagans.

We have a big frolic for each of the eight sabbats, though. I might get tired of it someday...lots of work.

Mid Atlantic States Big Fuckfest occurs around Litha. It has a formal name. I don't remember what it is. But pagans who don't engage in polyamory pretty much stay away from it.

Yes, that's where the name comes from. Sam Hain was also the villain on Ghostbusters the Cartoon one time ... the giant scarecrow with the pumpkin head ...

Okay. Maybe I shouldn't admit that I know that ...

I've only ever been beaten once in trivial pursuit, and I played it a lot before my friends started refusing to play with me. I have the set of gold-plated, enameled pies and wedges.

I'm good at pretty much everything, except sports. I always hope for a leisure question when SL comes up as the category.

Trivia is a hobby.

I coulda taken Ken Jennings DOWN.

my cousin was completely baked in his youth when we played the board game. he answered "jimmy Hendrix" to every single question one night. it really pissed everyone off, but he was amused. we found it downright hilarious that he left the room and we skipped his turn. the very next question - the one that he would have been asked... the answer really was "jimmy hendrix".
