If you look in the muck here where I'm looking you can see white globs. Anyone know what these are?

I was checking out the clear globs, that I at first thought were the old tadpole eggs, but on closer inspection realized that some still have something growing inside: Spotted Salamanders.

They are fantastic, Jinx.

Kinda spoiled the illusion for me though, here I thought you had trekked out to a isolated little pond....and then I see civilisation in the background.

Aw, sorry ducks, lol.... it's just a puddle, not remote pond.
Normally we do trek around for miles when we're there (French Creek), but we hadn't planned on being there at all yesterday.

That's the plan... it's a home school project for the boy. He got it in his head yesterday that they might have sprouted legs and scarfered, so we had to stop by and make sure there weren't any significant changes since Saturday.
