I saw an article here the other day that contains a Good Morning Britain video about it. PETA President Calls 'Pet' a Disrespectful Term, Ask Owners to Use 'Animal Companion' Instead . |

"...a dead duck..." "...screwed the pooch..." A fast car is said to "run like a scalded cat"... What should we replace those with, I wonder.

= His avian companion is suffering from extreme heat exhaustion. "...a dead duck..." = It has brought down the curtain and joined the duvet invisible. "...screwed the pooch..." Not a familiar phrase this side of the Atlantic and probably best left alone.

Don't know nuttin' 'bout this, but I have several friends of serious animal care persuasion who actively hate everything about PETA.
They kind of get on my nerves, but I think maybe they are right. |

I've found the people I've met who are into dog agility training think PETA is a stupid joke. The ones in vet care a little more concerned with pets being killed with kindness.
