I was wnodering if there was any way to disable that 'thankyou for posting' screen?

Might be, but I'm putting a higher priority on moving to the latest-n-greatest version of the forum software. That'll happen any week now. (And will preserve all posts and all user info across the upgrade. I'm no amateur.)

1.1.5 -> 2.0.RC3 (but I guess non-RC will be used ;)

Some stuff you will probably see:

Enhancements/New Features:
- Settings can now have textarea entry fields
- optimise queries for show last poster /last post from home page
- priv_forwardmultiple,priv_sendprivmsg,priv_sendtobuddies (added javascript
validation for PM length - should prevent all this messing around with using the 'back' button and getting a blank message

Bug fixes:
- Fixed major security issue.
- privmsg - fix link for "search" icon
- Fix automatic sessionhash removal bug
- Fix minor vulnerability in CP entry routines
- postbit -> altered to use new templates postbit_buddy and postbit_search instead of having 'hard-coded' buttons.
