Wireless access point recommendations?
I'm looking to get a wireless access point for my home (I have a non-wireless router). It would be placed upstairs and in most cases be accessed from downstairs. The area where I would place this upstairs is quite open; I can see a large portion of downstairs quite easily.
Any recommendations?

Linksys WRT54g
If you can get a Linksys WRT54g (v1,v2,or v3), you will have yourself a very nice router which can handle a lot of traffic, and can also be upgraded to run Linux to provide even more functionality (Google for OpenWRT) .
eBay will work wonders for you. The newer versions of the WRT54g have been crippled a bit to prevent user modification of the OS. |
