Products You Wish Still Existed

Mister Salty Pretzels.

I was having some pretzels with my ice cream tonight, and, as I often do under such circumstances, wondered what ever happened to my favorite salty seaman.

Yes, I know exactly what I just said, Beavis. Thanks for noticing.

But they were so much better than any of the other pretzels I've had to settle for since their demise. Yes, the nutrition police would hate them and block their return, but I'm not the only person who wants them.

Hey, Quisp is available in stores again, so it's not just a crazy dream.

Bic Banana Pens.

They were felt tip pens, yellow body, black cap, kind of banana looking. They were great felt tips, though. The point was less mushy than most 1970s felt tips, and the barrel length was similar to that of the Bic Crystal Ballpoint, and much more comfortable to write with. I miss the Flair Hardhead too, but not as much as the Bic Banana. The Bic Banana was just that much more hip.

Actually, I have a lot of pen-related I wish they still made thats ... The Schaeffer Fountain Pens were great, although I preferred the normal pen style to the fat ones with the screw-on caps. You can still get those, but only in calligraphy sets. And there was a Papermate click pen, it came with a ball-shaped stand. I don't remember what they were called, but I do remember that my ball was purple and orange. Bic had a nice clicky pen, too, you used to be able to get boxes of them at Staples, but they seem to be gone in favor of various pens with rubber grippies on them that don't write anywhere near as well.

I know fountain pens still exist, but I haven't written with one since I left school.
I might buy one just for writing cards. I didn't realise I missed mine until I read this thread.

Cheers, Wolf.

Amp Relaunch aka orange Amp...it was discontinued last year, and that hurts my feelings. However, I did get lucky six weeks ago.

I think that's called increasing demand, rather than nostalgia.

Now, Aspen soda, or Apple Flavored Slice, those deserve to come back.

They don't have to bring back Pepsi Kona, though. That is a mistake that deserves to stay buried.

I liked Pepsi Light. It was half the calories of regular pepsi, and had a lemon flavor added. You could still get them in the old recyclable bottles. I also miss Tab.

Look, here's a glucose.

Scary, isn't it?

It's a chemical: C6H12O6

Here's aspartame:

It's also a chemical.
