Yeah, and this would mean each spouse would have different people in front and behind them. I think this is how we should do it.

If couples participate, I think their CDs should be sent separately. The additional cost of shipping can't be that much. And it ensures that everyone gets 2 weeks with one CD. The only "unfair" thing with this system is that some couples will get 4 weeks total with a CD. But I think this is better than getting 2 weeks with 2 CDs.

Mine is also done. I have made a decorative "U" card insert for the back of the jewel case, and a foldy card for the front with interesting cover and informative backside content, but nothing inside the folded sheet (again, I'm lazy and busy...bad combination).
CD is labelled with just the bare essentials identifying it as Elspode's Cellar Collection #1, in Sharpie. I have placed a folded sheet listing the tracks with my brief comments thereof inside the folded cover piece for anyone who gives a shit. I'm looking forward to this!

The amount of production ability spread amongst this group is somewhat daunting ...
My CD is burned, labelled in sharpie, in a blank (thin) jewel box. I don't have a printer connected at this time ... no room on the table, and I rarely print stuff out. The "title card" is going to consist of something that I will hopefully print out at work tomorrow ... assuming I remember to email it to myself. I may even splurge and use the colored paper. HP, you think YOUR tastes are eclectic? You ain't heard nothin' yet.

HooHah, I'm done! Burning now, damn I planned on 10 but it became 16 tracks, don't know who to send it to first but they are gonna be one lucky sum'a'bitch.
Also including a letter/album notes page. Will probably zip everything up in case recipient has a problem reading the CD. Is a verbatim CDR in audio format, but I have he folder of mp3's and notes. Haven't made an audio CD in ages so I'm somewhat worried about compatibility. Will probably spend a wee bit of time on artwork. Please don't label your CDs (adhesive), this is just asking for trouble. Awlright!! Just need an address...anyone know what postage should be for one cd, one piece of paper, one jewel case? FWIW, I didn't get too talky in my notes, but whoever recieves this will know quite alot about me. You'll probably be bored too tears, but informatively bored. Let the fun begin.

Just popped my homebrew CD into a DVD player and it seems to work fine, course it alphabetized the tracks so my track list is screwy. Will try to create something with UTs blank.

One thing I learned doing this, my laptop speakers absolutely suck!
Listening to it now on the stereo, dang this is good stuff. I am having WAY too much fun with this, I gotta go do something productive. Over, and Out

I'm not in this for a number of reasons but I have a general question. How do you mail CDs safely? Padded envelope? Package?

we get dvd's from netflix all the time in a simple envelope. they're fine. i was figuring i'd use priority mail, but i love wasting money on postage.
spouse will be treated as individuals, then, but, syc, make sure they're not consecutive on the final list, please. I can't wait to start mine up.....cool label, toad!

see, as couples we each have to make a CD, therefore, we should each get to send and recieve a CD. We treat it as if we are all separate people, rather than couples. Is that what you mean? That's what I was talking about, too. |
