The Sims 2 Help (not with the game, with how it affects the computer)

The original sims seemed to mess with one of our computers...it was old though...i was wondering if the sims 2 made computers run weird...Does anybody know?

Act weird how? My wife is a Sims junkie, so I have a little experience with it.

Sims2 runs okay for her, but she gets some pretty jerky frame rates at times, despite having a computer well in excess of the stated system requirements.
