Romanesco, the most fibonnaci of all the green vegetables. Followed closely by sunflowers.

I once had a great crop of Romanesco Broccoli that the woodchuck ate.

Bummed me out, though not as much as it bummed out the woodchuck.

Great hobby, lots of fresh air and sunshine, exercise, healthy produce as a reward, and Zucchini to annoy cow orkers and neighbors with. Back to our agricultural roots, reconnecting with the soil, nature, the weather and other living creatures in the dirt and air.

aside: I recently discovered that DC and Cape May are on the same parallel.

However those who don't have the room or inclination can still have the garden experience, they can do the Cliff's Note version.

I thought you lived in a condo? Did you get a house or are you using some other land?

My parents' garden.

Still pretty impressive, since it's in a small DC residential back yard (the panoramic view makes it seem bigger).

Is gardening taking up too much of your time? In the spring it's easy to have grandiose visions making you plant more than you want to maintain later when hot weather arrives. You don't want to admit defeat, but... There's a way out, don't garden harder, garden smarter, get the right tools.
There's a reason Honey Badger don't care.
