Everyday pocket contents:

Wallet
iPod
Phone
Keys
Pens
Sometimes some Fisherman's Friends

Far too much for my liking, but I need it.

No question about it. I do that because I can't fish around all the other crap in my front left pocket to pull coins out without my knife coming out. More than once, it has come out and opened before crashing onto the floor. Not good.

I have an upper limit tho. More than 4 or 5 coins and I have to move the rest into another pocket.

Water out of a coffee mug. Good one.

My bag always has :
- A book
- A tin of Vaseline
- At least 2 different chap sticks
- 2 different lip glosses
- Purse (thing to hold money in Britspeak)
- Keys

A brief inventory tells me that today is a typical day, with the addition of:
- Tissues
- Bus ticket (which I am throwing away now)

I don't carry much around with me.
My desk drawer on the other hand is a veritable Aladdin's Cave and includes such varied delights as deodorant, anti-nausea tablets, face spritz, body butter, antiseptic wipes, seaweed, perfume samples, a black bra (which I've been looking for all week!)

I need to have a clearout

My standard configuration

Right front pocket: one tube, Burt's Bees beeswax lip balm.
Left front pocket: temporary (approx. five minute) storage.
Left rear pocket: key rings, attached to belt loop with quick-release mechanism.
Right rear pocket: wallet, sub-catagories therein.

Supplemental: lanyard #1 (1 GB "sport" flash drive), lanyard #2 (work barcode, gym barcode, mini mag-light on quick-release mechanism).

Edit
(Supplemental): cell phone & alphanumeric pager clipped to belt, on either side of right-most belt loop.

I try not to have anything in my pants pocket except a hankerchief or bandana. I carry a backpack to work with lunch and my stuff in it. I never leave the house with coins in my pocket, and get rid of them as soon as I can, when I do get some.

When I must:

Front right: Keys
Front left: phone, sunglasses
Rear right: Bandana
Rear left: Wallet

Shirt pocket, at work: retractable gel pen (blue), water soluble marker (vis-a-vis type), Optician's ruler (6 inch), and breath whatevers (strips/mints)

Day to day:
Rear left: Wallet
Front right: cellphone, keys, chapstick

Going out, one venue:
Front left: Cash, condoms, id
Front right: Keys, cellphone

Going out, multi-venue:
Front left: Wallet
Front right: cellphone, keys

If it's cool weather everything moves in to the jacket, and a pocket-knife and possibly a notebook are added.

Can't look everything up now. We will assume it is a full day out.
I always wear a jacket.
Front pockets:
Case knife, change, herbal lip balm
MP3 player, earplugs and their case (the kind that rolls-up)

Back:
Handkerchief
Wallet

Belt loop: Key-chain has keys two small knives (one is a Swiss army with all kinds of stuff), small flashlight and two steel pill bottles (I take a lot of pills).

Jacket: gun or tazer (revolver now, in a few months the new 45apc with replacement clips), sometimes the MP3 and ear-buds/case, pen and pad, sunglasses and case.

The black .45 Springfield APC. fingers crossed. It comes with a great accessories package.

My wifes old .38 snub. I hate it. But, all my old weapons were company weapons. She changed her mind about guns, so I took hers.
