Yeah that is the same bedroom....I have alot more pictures but they are on a disposable camera. I am going to get them developed and put onto a disk. This way I can upload them easier.
I am going to have to look through the other pics for a before of the attic.( i know htere has got to be one)

here is a quick layout of the after:

Here is a shot of the doorway leading up to the attic. The attic was not considered living space(mortgage wise that is) because the doorway leading to it was in another bedroom. We were considering moving the attic stairway out to the living room but we opted out of that idea.

Thanks for the info, geat job!

I love these kinds of projects. Especially when you get properly rewarded for all your hard work.

The neighbors should be pleased too -- a rising tide lifts their property values as well.

Very beautiful. You must get a lot of satisfaction after completing such a job and looking at before and after photos. I love that attic space.

It's orders of magnitude more difficult when your living there.

Yesman...There is always more time, effort & money put in when its your own place. I have been re-finishing a two-peice hutch for my dining room for about 3 months. It took me close to a month just to decide on a finish.

On a side note.... I have other after pictures of a previous house we completed. If anybody is interested.

And thanks again everybody for the great compliments!!!!!!

I'd love to talk to you about what I'm doing at my place. My next thing is an attic fan or vent fan - the one that goes into the roof NOT the ceiling. I have two teenage sons and we like doing this stuff together - Just been learnin as we go - A little direction would go a long way. I hear they save a lot of money and are only about $100 to buy.
Oh and yes more before and after pics - thats a way for others to get ideas and stuff.

Here was an 18'x56'(or so) deck I built along with my father-in-law.( not to be confused with my step-father who I work with doing the renovation work.) Yeah I guess you could say I come from a family of carpenters.
