Anyone else see this? Tarentino is my favorite director, so I had to see it (even though all he did was produce it) It was suprisingly artistic, much more tasteful than that fly tiger crap... I would reccomend you see it!

Actually Tarentino didn't produce it either. It came out 3 years ago in Hong Kong. Tarentino just liked it so much, he imported it and had it re-released in America. He had nothing to do with the making of it.

Kinda like what Disney did with Studio Ghibli's stuff. They imported it from Japan, slapped DISNEY all over it and put Studio Ghibli in little letters, just enough to keep from getting sued.

Funny you should say that. Tarentino did it through the Disney company for distribution.

I was under the impression that they paid well for it, however. And if the name Disney will sell more copies over here than Studio Ghibli, and therefore lead to more proliferation of anime, I'm all for it. |
