Wow, and here I got the impression from watching British TV that all Aussies were sex maniacs, even the old people.

So, if I pretend to be shocked and dissaproving if I happen to see a PDA between two cute lesbians, they will proceed to put on an even more outrageous display to 'prove their point'. Hmmmmmm.

I'll have to remember that for Forks 2005.

Well, it sounds to me as if you did nothing wrong, and it was the old guy who was out of line, not you. Its very sad, but I bet the old folks were jealous. Probably, their own spouses had passed on (especially those of the women, women tend to out live men) - and if you are 70, where do you go to meet someone new? What? Do you hit on the foxy 70 year old chick (guy) in line beside you at the Geritol counter? Do you go down to the local bar with the Glenn Miller sound-alike band on Friday night and show off your moves? Even if you did such things, how could you easily move beyond a lifetime of other memories for what would at best be a couple of year's worth of racing one another to the grave/nursing home? It must be rough, and I know for a fact that people in that age group get pretty lonely and sad. The old curmudgeon was certainly in the wrong, but I'd bet anything that if he'd felt less lonely and less scared of his own impending demise, he'd have said nothing.

Wow. I hug up on and kiss Sycamore in public all the time. Not like we are about to make out or anything, but little things (like hooking his arm in mine or laying a head on his shoulder).

Heh, I would have been so mean: "What's the matter old man...Viagra not working anymore? Oh goddamned well!"

Whuf.

Reminds me of a day when an ex boyfriend was comforting me on a street corner. We'd sat down on a stoop and he was just hugging me - and some older fellow across the street started yelling at us in a similar fashion to what you describe. And we were NOT kissing. He was hugging me and I was crying, if memory serves.

Perhaps it's just further proof that people see what they want to see.

Conversely, I recently kissed my lover's crotch in the middle of Broad Street.
No one said a word.
Strange...
