I can't remember what fish it is, but, I think it makes that nestthing/egging ground with one fin, while swimming on it's side.

Does anyone else remember that, I think I learnt it here?

It's the courtship display area of a pufferfish. The fish makes it as Grav describes, pulls a few chicks, gets laid, and ends up as sushi.
