Oi Clodfobble!

Where did this come from:

will command clouds rather than learn to dance in the rain

?

Did you make it up in response to the "Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain" thingy?

It's quite cool, it often pops into my head. Along with Griff's

"If you would only recognize that life is hard, things would be so much easier for you.
- Louis D. Brandeis "

That's exactly it, it's defiance in the face of the "learning to dance in the rain" saying. Which is actually a Bible verse, but it's made enough headway into secular culture to be readily recognizable. You see it a lot in the sig files of the topical messageboards I spend time on, along with other inspirational sayings about marathons-not-sprints and that sort of thing. The actual wording was forced by the character limit of the user title, I think I was originally trying to do something less poetic, about inventing umbrellas or something, but it wouldn't fit... but yeah, fuck learning to dance in it.
