I usually get Rex Goliath.... That's like $13 for the big bottle. And it has a big cock on it.

Last night i drank almost two bottles of a nice sav blanc. Needless to say, i was shit faced. The teenagers were entertained. The midgets were asleep. Husband was working late. I probably snored fairly loudly.
Tonight i had the last glass of the second bottle. I think that was enough.

Any cheap wine lovers in the crowd?
I suggest to you, Mogen-David Blackberry (not over-poweringly blackberry). $14-$19 for three liters. A little thick-feeling in the mouth. Preeeety good for cheap wine.

Isn't that Mad Dog 20/20?
I wonder if you can still get Boone's Farm Tickle Pink? Or what were those wines we drank in HS/college? Steppin' Out, and, and... OMG I found it! Tj Swan! Easy Days, Mellow Nights, Steppin' Out, and Magic Moments. http://iwineryonline.com/tj-swan-wine It would be fun to have a class reunion and show up with a case of TJ Swan, and a couple cases of Genny Cream Ale and Little Kings! |

Not nearly. (Give the Mogen-David a splash of PGA, though, and you ain't far off. Much better than MD.)
Absolutely. I thought I had a bottle in the back of the fridge, but, no luck. I did have this, though...almost as good:

Or Zima with a Jolly Rancher in it.
Though that was later. When all the cool kids were doing that I wasn't a kid anymore, and was 'too' cool for that. |

Well, I had a fifth of Jack Daniels Honey last night & slept for about 14-16 hours. Best sleep in a long time. I drink it neat. Great taste but does have a bit of after burn if you take a big gulp. Not quite as good as Wild Turkey Honey, but cheaper & easier to find.

You're so lucky, Sarge - any alcohol killed my mouth and throat during chemo. If I could drink a fifth of Jack and sleep for 14-16 hours, at this point I'd do it in a second. I'd only sleep for 2 hours and then be awake and wired for 2 days, though.

ortho - I think it is because of the PTSD meds. Combine them with alcohol and you will crash. I know the risks of mixing, but sometimes I need the sleep and I am willing to take the risk
Truthfully, I admire you & Trilby for the way you fought through treatments. I can't/won't do it anymore. Of course mine is only neurosarcadosis and not as life threatening as what you went through. Plus, I have an adenoma on my pituatary gland. I will always have to deal with that because it can really affect my cortisol.

It's not 'only' neurosarcoidosis, Sarge. Everybody's experience of chemo is different - every chemo regimen is different. But yes, each of us has to decide what's worth it and what's not. Just be sure you have all the information you need to make a decision.

You are right. I just feel like a wuss compared to what Trilby, you, and others have gone through. I'll admit I believe women are much stronger than men in many ways.
