When the met office said they were anticipating snow and ice in every county in Great britain, I hadn;t realised they meant such total coverage. It's amazing, it looks like we've slipped into the ice age lol.

We now have in excess of 14" on the ground due to not having been warm enough for it to have melted in the two weeks since Xmas Eve. Bonus: Wind chills by AM Friday are forecast to hit -30.

We've been getting a little snow every day. It is 28F here now. That is the warmest its been so far this year but it is about to drop off the table again.

They've closed several schools and businesses here and there just a "chance of a wintry mix".... Maybe you guys are right. Georgia is the home of dumb sumbitches. The TV forecaster says accumulation is possible, but unlikely and they're still rolling the sidewalks up. Juju may have to work over just to cover the 'excitement'. Bunch o goddam rednecks........

That map is so Kewl!
My sis phoned me after midnight UK time (WAY past her bedtime) to tell me just how freaking cold it was - -12C -which is normal for Michigan this time of year, but her part of the UK only usually bobs one or two below at night. yesterday she emailed me to emergency dispatch snowpants for my niece -they went today....

We were supposed to get dumped on in Chicago, but we've only gotten four inches or so.
