I know I can mass-desubscribe you, so if that's what you need let me know.

I just realized - well it just actually dawned on me that I'm no longer losing threads in the "New Posts" link when logging in and out and from different computers. I used to have to keep the initial "New Posts" page open because if I hit it again, I'd lose everything (no posts would show as new and I'd have to troll through each forum to find new stuff).

That is a big improvement at least given the way I navigate the waters here. I'd make an terrible sailor - I'd toss the compass overboard in the first five minutes and just sail off somewhere.

This helps me because I seem to lose my place even when I open a different tab in Firefox to fact check.

Another 3.5 improvement. It doesn't depend on cookies to figure out whether you've seen something; it actually flags that you've seen it in its database, so it knows for sure. A lot smarter.

What's the new way to insert links and then edit the url to text? It used to be easy with the 'insert hyperlink' button. I couldn't even post the URL for some weird reason today. Clues?

Type the text, highlight it, and then select the link tool, which will be plopped into place and surrounded with the right assortment of square brackets and codewords.

Thanks for the tip, Wolf.
Again I have proven myself to be computer illiterate.
