I'm on the mend now. I don't get sick too often so I'm still surprised I caught this one. I should be mostly human again tomorrow I think.

OK, here's the first pic of our baby. It's a bit blurry, but you can't really see that much anyway.

haha...hope not. It was poking me the whole time though. I think it wants to come out.

I'll be just as happy when it does.

Yeah...but generally they say not to give them solids in any form till six months. Cheese is classed as a solid.

That being said, my previous comment was a bit tongue in cheek really. I think some kids need solids earlier. I started both my boys on a little bit of farex (rice cereal) at night before bed at about 2 months to give them a fuller belly in order to help them start sleeping through the night.

I recommend it to anyone who values sleep, but I know most mothers like to stick to the rules these days.

Didn't harm my boys though.

Oh, I was confused--I thought you were talking about you being six months into the pregnancy. Doctors here recommend that pregnant women do not eat unpasteurized cheeses (like bleu cheese, goat cheese, etc.) during pregnancy, especially early on.

You're also not supposed to eat cured meats and pate or anything offalish. I try and avoid these items, but I haven't completely done so.

One thing I have managed to avoid is cleaning out the cats litter tray though.

is OK, labrat, I am The One It is all about me

as you were... up-the-duffness.... i have found eating recommendations vary greatly from county to country. in UK: "NO PEANUTS", here: "eat peanut butter before drinking the sugary yuck for the diabetes test if you thing it's likely you'll barf it back"..... well which iis it? come on.... Seems to be more superstition than science
