I am not sure if this has been said, but, Hel is the Norse goddess of death and the underworld, she is the daughter of the Norse god Loki, in which was the god of discourd, in whom created discourd for the other gods.

In religious terms, Hel is the world of the dead, it's actually a synonym of Hell.

but what do all our ideas have in common?
what do we use to try and solve this?
maybe if we find the common idea or something,we can a clearer image of how to solve it.

Just a little theory that came out of my ass:P

I think the first thing we could do is compile a list of little things like that, and see what common ideas run through it.

So, how'd you guys end up discussing all this stuff on the Cellar, anyhow? Do you do anything besides try to solve the game? Do you ever read any of the other forums here? Do you feel wierd being this sort of little sub-cult here that regular members of the cellar hardly ever talk to? How come you don't create your very own seperate "This is not porn" discussion site?

Just wondering, and no I don't have a clue.

i dont even use or know of any other topics in the cellar. i just use it for TINP, this and the official forum are really the only 2 worth looking at on the subject. if you google most things from TINP you get a link to this thread. theres something like 1100 posts on this now?

Yeah, but why the Cellar? Does it somehow hold the ultimate clue? Or is it just that UT is more tolerant than most? (You do know who UT is, right?)

Oh yeah, to contribute a bit to some of your more recent discussions:

In Norse mythology, Hel is the ruler of Helheim, the realm of the dead. She is the youngest child of the evil god Loki and the giantess Angrboda

"Dropping the ax" generally means giving the bad news, getting rid of a group, or telling the harsh truth like it is.

I would imagine its a quaint expression lingering on from the middle ages when people were commonly executed by being beheaded. You put your head on a wooden block and the executioner dropped his ax on your neck. If you were lucky, he'd sharpened his ax the night before. If you weren't lucky, he might have had to make several attempts.
