I disagree with these interpretations of JBK's posting...

JBK's used "this Holocaust", not "a holocaust", and even extended the idea into "murdering..."
I can't see that JBK was talking about a holocaust of tornado damage,
I suggest he did intend to reference the Holocaust in WW II.

There's a lot of piling on of JBK and Ibram lately
... maybe HQ and others should relax and take a deep breath.

I think jbk and ibram bring it on themselves, truth be told.

And I like them both.

The biggest thing for me is the outrage thrown at jbk when he says shit about abortion or homosexuality or whatever. Lord knows I don't agree with him one iota, but if we are to 'understand' perhaps we could talk instead of screaming misogynistic homophobic freak of nature piece of shit at him.

On the same token, I think ibram wants understanding too, but yelling isn't going to bring it about. I think he should calm down, and give people who don't understand his choices a minute to mull something over before he throws out words like "twisted sick fuck."

And, I could be wrong, but my feeling is that is what henry was pointing out. We are expected to understand Ibram (and I want to) but we are not expected to understand one goddam thing about jbk.

eta: Unfair of me to speak for anyone. That's how I've been feeling about the whole thing.

This is what this all stemmed from. In my humble opinion.

On a related note, Sandusky was found guilty on almost every charge.
Not swift in that the crimes were committed some time ago, but very swift in that the jury didn't take too long making their decision and sending him away for ever.

I ended up having to take a phone call just as the breaking news item came on TV.

The junkies told me after the fact.

I am not surprised.

What was a bit annoying about the whole trial was the hours of talking heads explaining what had happened in the courtroom that they weren't allowed to show or directly quote. I'm a big fan of CourtTV, but this was just ... oh well, it's probably better that I didn't listen to all of the testimony. It was probably nasty.
