Haha....yeah, they'll kill the ecosystem if you grow them in the ditch, as they have been found to be grown by some. You can grow them in a container of some sort in your back yard. That way, they can't "escape." I just buy mine at the Asian supermarket.

Hehe....Had this for lunch. Yes, very plain but very nice to eat after 3 days of party food and more days of leftovers.
Just plain white rice with boiled yu choy doused with spicy soy sauce. You like the pieces of chili peppers? I would've grabbed more but figured it wouldn't be good for my stomach, hehe. For dinner, I had egg with cheese and tomato on wheat bread. Not Vietnamese food so I didn't take a pix. Thought I'd mention it for Sarge. |

Zippy's video explains it. I hope it works for you cuz it doesn't run for me.
Anyways, I had star fruit for dessert, home grown. My mom grows the plant in a pot and it still yield lots of fruits. |

Silly, Sarge.
Had fried rice yesterday. This morning, I decided to have one of those 3-in-1 instant coffee. I had to add 2 tsp. of creamer to make a tad decent. |

I've been busy so I haven't been taking any food pix. There were a few dishes that would've been good to show. Anyways, here are some different types of bananas I have at home at the moment. The kids love those teeny tiny bananas. They're sweeter than the others. I like the short, fat ones. However, I can't tell when they're ripe. I bought those tiny ones when they were green. When I saw the short, fat ones, I thought they were ripe because they were totally yellow. When I bit into it, my mouth had that sticky feeling of unripe fruits. That was two days ago. This morning, I ate another one and it was still a tad under ripe. Blah. I don't think I'll buy that type again since I can't tell when they're ripe. The bigger ones in the pix are the kinds you can find at any American grocery store. |

Oh yeah, I drank this coconut two days ago. It turned out to be a dry coconut. Taking the meat out was a pain. I usually drink the young coconut, but I bought the wrong kind. DOH!
