Ahhhh... so all it took was a bribe..... "If you pay me I will happily clean it all up for you, even though to promised you would do HALF of the work around here." Why didn't you say that in the first place?

It's basic conditioning- if you want a behavior repeated, you should reward that behavior.
I want him to continue giving me cash And I'm sure he wants me to continue cleaning the apartment. I'm willing to make a lot of personal compromises when it comes to cash- that's my job. |

Am I the only person who, in this situation, would rather spend the money on the cleaning woman (assuming UT's maths is right)?

Would the cleaning lady also cook you a T-bone steak dinner and have sex with you too?

I don't think you want to hire that cleaning lady, but yes, some of them do.

SM, you really must get out some time and visit reality land. As little as a year and a half ago, $50 would get a team of 4 women (and yes, once in a while, a gent) who would invade this 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath contemporary for an hour and make it perfect. It had previously paid for one woman to come in for four hours and make it perfect.
(I don't like it perfect, so after the ex left I told them not to come back.) It was the same price for a husband/wife pair to come in and clean my small five-room office for two hours, when I had an office. |

Is that really how you want your marriage to be? "You can break your word all you want if you pay me." What kind of shit is that? And what happens if he doesn't get a bonus so he can't pay you for x amount of time and the apartment gets scuzzy again? Am I the only one who see this as a bad solution?? edit: So really, you're his whore, his cook, and his cleaning lady. I'll say it again. He knows exactly what he's doing.

SM - i don't even live that far away from you (phoenix) and i am astounded at the prices that seem perfectly normal in LA. we have cleaning crew that comes in every other tuesday for a top to bottom clean, everything but windows and dishes. she get $50 per cleaning - how many people she uses, how long it takes is up to her. $50. above the board, legitimate business.
