my mom used to grow zukes that big. they'r fookin nasty. only thing theyre good for at that point is zucchini bread. cut em when theyre cuke sized, split em length wise, douse them in olive oil, salt and pepper, and grill them into submission. and then they're tolerable at best. i prefer yellow squash done that way. they take forever, so start them 15-20 minutes before the meat.

Jim, if you start them at the same time as everything else, you can claim to be to full by the time they are done.

I'm glad you and jinx said that. It's a crime to let a zucchini grow that big. They should be picked when they are 6 to 8 inches long. Otherwise they get too tough.

Big is tough, true. But, as LJ also said, bread is a viable option. I'm enjoying some fresh, warm zucchini bread rii-ight now.

Oooh, sorry. I like to bake it in batches, so there are a couple of loaves to spare. Is there a Cellar mailbox where I can send some bread for everybody?

Use the bread box. Or send it through the bread line.

Umm........What is a Ms Foley?

Once I was introduced on stage (at a poetry reading) as "too hot for porn".
Really ruined the rest of my set.....no one listened....at all.
Now I have to go look up distaff......

Anything happen with Kagen and Brianna? Just by looks- they seem as if they would make a smashing couple....
