That is the part that always amazed me. The man's administration was fully involved in Watergate. Since then, Americans would no longer trust leaders. Something completely new in politics. We actually voted the incumbant out of office - many times. Ford. Carter. George Sr. Only two have been relected - Reagan and Clinton. Maybe the legacy of "I am not a crook" Nixon.

It probably took an adminstration as good as Reagan's first four years to break the trend of voting the incumbant out of power. Reagan's first administraton was probably remains the best we had seen since WWII.
