Tonight I got home before 10, so I went out to the garage to take stock of what was left to do.

I had to connect the cross over fuel line.. That's a hose that connects the two 'lobes' of the gas tank under the forward curve of the tank. That has to be done after the tank is mounted as the hose goes around the front frame pillar.

I had bought a chrome hose cover, so I put that on too.

I also needed to recalibrate my fuelpak to the throttle, as I had changed the cables.

Once I was done with that.... I couldn't think of what came next. Holy shit.

Put gas in it!

No leaks..... All looks good.....

I took the saddle bags off... Dawdled a bit more, checking over this and that, looking for that one thing I missed.....
Couldn't find anything wrong...

No choice now but to try it. Why am I apprehensive....? What did I forget?

I didn't forget anything. It fired on the first crank. Bam! POW! Booooyah! Potato potato potato.

Just like I had ridden it yesterday. After 8 weeks in pieces. Took it out for some fresh gas and to stretch it's legs.

It turns another altogether different shade of blue under Uv lights.

Here's that hose cover

Have you seen it in direct sunlight yet?

It looks fantastic. Two months! It's like it's a brand new different bike.

You could rob the blacklight store, and no one would ever be able to identify the vehicle.

I have not actually seen it in direct light all assembled. I had the tent over it all day Sunday while I put it together. I work all damn day again today, so I'll have to get it out tomorrow. I'll stay up tonight and fix the saddlebag issue. Tomorrow, I'll address the turn signals not working... and the no power to the LED light switch.

Tomorrow is supposed to be nice too. I'll try to get out for a bit after I fix the exhaust but before I go get the kids for .....

Jane's Addiction! Ritual De Lo Habitual show at the Filmore East!

Then Friday, I get to sit in a small room with jinx while she looks anywhere but at me. Spencer's support ends in August, so we have to meet for the modification hearing. That should be deliciously uncomfortable for her. I think I won't wash for a couple days before, and try to fart a lot. maybe show up drunk.

What is the significance of a blue left eye? Heterochromia?
