I started respecting them on Romo's debut(Check thread for verification)
I stopped respecting them when Brokeback mountain came out.

Tennessee Titans(-2.5) @ Cincinnati Bengals
If Haynesworth plays the Titans should cover (He makes that much of a difference, trust me). If he doesn't and I think he won't, this will be a high scoring affair. I predict at least 4 turnovers in this one meaning good field position for both teams resulting in points. At the end of the day Cincys at home and they will beat up on the Titans young secondary. Take Cincy Take the over (47.5) Seattle Seahawks(-3.0) @ St.Louis Rams Sure St. Louis has won 2 games straight and their offence has been clicking, heck I've takin them the last two weeks to cover the spread. But this week they play a team that is good on both sides of the ball (not like San Fran and NWO). The Rams O-Line is still banged up. I see the Seahawks having a field day in the sack department add to the fact that the Seahawks D leads the league in the most 3 and outs. The Rams D is average and that won't cut it especially now that Seattle is feeling pass happy. Seattle wins 34-20. Take Seattle Take the over (45.5) Washington Redskins @ Tampa Bay Bucs(-3.0) This will be a close game. Look for Portis to have a good game. But Tampas cover 2 defence will be difficult for Campbell (one of the worst Qbs in the league) to have a repeat performance from last week. At the end I see Portis and the Redskin D winning this one. Take Washington San Fransisco 49ers @ Arizona Cardinals(-10.5) I can't see San Fran putting up any points against this underated defence. On the flip side, the Cardinals will have trouble too. But playing at home with the division in reach Arizona wins 21-6. Take Arizona Denver Broncos @ Chicago Bears(-2.5) Javon Walker is back!!! A reliable target for Jay cutler. Rex is playing!!! His targets are Champ and Dre. Sure Travis Henrys out and Selvin Young is hurt but when did Denvers O-line ever need a running back to run the run the ball. Get coach Shanahan to strap on some gear and he'll have 100 yards rushing. On the other side Benson might have a big game but eventually the Bears will be trailing and that means Big Rex has to throw the ball. Take the Broncos Philadelphia Eagles @ New England Patriots(-23.5) Is this too much points for New England. I have not gone against them all season long and I won't here. The only team that I will pick against the Pats, are the Steelers who i think will beat them. The Eagles might put up a goose egg. With Mcnabb probable and Westbrook probable, I as a coach would sit'em this one (for they will lose for sure) and have'em rest for they still have a shot at the playoffs. Play'em and that might be the end of the season for the Eagles. Let it ride on the Pats |

Green Bay Packers @ Dallas Cowboys(-7.0)
There is no doubt that the Cowboys offence is greater than that of the Packers. On the flipside, the Packers defence is obviously a few levels better than the poor Dallas D. Not only that, its pretty well matched up against the Cowboys passing game which will force Dallas to run more than in the past, unless of course they fall behind in which case, they will be forced to pass. If Romo sticks to short passes, he should be fine. Overall, the match is up in the air. Looking at all the above and considering the fact that their playing in Texas. The 7.0 points is more of a bookies balancing act rather than the reality of this game. I don't expect a high scoring game like most, so the under is also an option, but its not as good of a bet as the Packers cover. Bet on the Packers

Cowboys-Panthers(-6,5) Bledsoe's out FINALY!!! I mean, Bill should have done that at the start of the year, he looked like a headless chicken running around back there, he disgraced this amazing Dallas Cowboys team...now i know rollo looked a little messed up coming on last week, but keep in mind, they brought him in in a game of desperation againt a team that was expecting the pass on every play..i say, with these tools, rollo's gonna do just fine, the Cowboys aren't only gonna beat this -6,5 point spread, I say their gonna win thi game EASILY ..bet on Dallas!!! Dallas Cowboys 35-14 Carolina Panthers(-6,5) WIN Cowboys(-7,5)-Cardinals This is such a lopsided matchup. All of the quality on theis Cardinals team is in the offence, leaving Romo and the Dallas Cowboys the freedom to run up the score as much as they want, and based on the fact that they're 4-4, they'll kill the Cardinals. Now Arizona will score, but I expect the Cowboys here to have the most points scored in the nfl this week, that'll erase the -7,5 pointspread. Bet on the Cowboys! Dallas Cowboys(-7,5) 27-10 Arizona Cardinals ...WIN Indianapolis Colts(-2,5)-Dallas Cowboys They had the Colts 2,5 point underdogs against the Patriots and the Broncos. These Cowboys are far better than both of those teams, so now the Colts are the -2,5 point favorites. If the Colts are gonna lose this year, it'll be this week against the Dallas Cowboys or next week against the Eagels. Its not like they're under pressure or anything with the Jaguars 4 games back. No matter how much I hate to bet against P.Manning. Bet on the Cowboys Dallas Cowboys 21-14 Indianapolis Colts(-2,5) WIN Tampa Bay Bucs-Dallas Cowboys(-10,5) Poor Bucs here, they'e got the run all taken care of, the only problem is that julius jones hasn't been muh of a threat all year...and since Romo came in, no one can stop the pass. The Dallas Cowboys seems to be one of the only threats to the Bears reaching the superbowl. Tampa Bay gets my vote for worst team in the NFL, set aside my respect for Kiffin. The 10,5 points is never a factor in such a miss-match... Bet on the Cowboys! Dallas Cowboys(10,5) 38-10 Tampa Bay Bucs WIN Dallas Cowboys(-6,5)-New York Giants Great matchup, this could be for top spot! No matter how you look at it though, the spread is so wrong. The New York Giants defence is one of the best in the NFL, its been like that for the past 2 years. The Cowboys will not score so easily against these guys. Although young Manning is not that good, he does have a lot of options. Tiki will get the ball a lot and try to run outside with it, and he should have success. The score shouldn't run as high as some might expect. The 6,5 points are huge in a match that is just as likely to end up a win for NY. Bet on the Giants! New York Giants 20-23 Dallas Cowboys(-6,5) ....WIN Dallas Cowboys(-7.0) Philadelphia Eagles I'm gonna go ahead and add the Eagels to my list of recommendations for this week. First of all because they've really been playing some elite football. Defencivly they've been doing it all year, but what is a suprise is how well the offence is running without Donovan. Another factor in my picking the Eagels here are yesturday's results. All the competition lost. Lets not forget that there is a very big spread of -7,0 points Bet on the Eagels Philadelphia Eagels 23-7 Dallas Cowboys(-7,0) ....WIN Dallas Cowboys - Seattle Seahawks(-3,0) This is probably the best of the week. The media has been kicking the Dallas Cowboys down to the ground. So Dallas lost against the weak lions! In my eyes, thats a good sign. It shows that Bill has his priorities straight! Ok, so Dallas has a weak running game, so what? Their passing game is amazing ever since young Romo came along. Owens, Glenn and Witten are solid options and will all shine very brightly against this extremely weak Seahawks defence. I really like Holmgreen, but it seems as though he has expired along with his team. The only reason the Seahawks are even here is because they play in the weakest division in the NFL. The fact that Seattle is 3,0 points favorites in a game where they will lose, makes this a late Christmas present! Bet on the Cowboys!!!!! Dallas Cowboys 20-21 Seattle Seahawks(-3,0) ..........WIN

Fine.
I believe the above posts from this thread clear up the whole anti-cowboy imagery you're trying to pin on me. I try to call things like I see them. The Packers aren't going anywhere this year, as the old man's stamina will certainly catch up to him. I can't look past the fact that the Cowboys aren't all that good. So, yeah, a man with a cane beats the brokeback mountain boys. Or at least keep it close.

if you're not anti cowboys, how can you say that they have a bad defense? they're 7th in yrd allowed, 10th in points. 7th in sacks, 2nd in interceptions....etc. they held the Jets to 3 points just last week!
it's ok if you're a hater.....but be honest about it.

LJ, you've actually helped me decide to take the Packers as a base for all week 13 bets on the point-spread.
I've also added a single clear-out Packers win beause of you. Thanks in advance!

it's going to look like you were right until about half way through the third quarter. At which point that huge dallas O line will begin to wear out the Packers flabby defensive line positions....cracks will open....Barber will march up and down on them. and then......the long sizzling passes to TO and Witten. ....and there will be much rejoicing.
