Bud Light by the bucket in T-minus 1 hour.

Give or take 15 minutes.

It's amazing how Ginger Ale can be so good or so bad. When I was a kid it's the first thing I noticed adults having strong allegiance to a brand name.

Fairly Grim Cheap Merlot left by Banana Lady. Was looking forward to nice red wine after long hard day at work, only to find there wasn't any and the local purveyor of said wine was closed. Tried to make do, but it's a bit of a failure. Will probably resort to the usual sex-on-the-beach beer

If the word Ginger does not appear in the list of ingredients (look for the % to be at least 15 - 20). Then it's just ginger flavored hfcs.

Plenty of good brands - just look for the percent and cane sugar in the ingredients.

Gosling or Reeds are my top 2

I remember you mentioning those two before, Beestie. I'll have to try them.

I actually prefer the cheapest I've found, IGA/PriceLess' store brand. 76 cents for two liters.

Well, I tried Reed's Extra Ginger Brew. 26 grams of ginger in the 12 oz bottle.

There is a resemblance to something I've tasted before, and, I cannot identify the something it resembles, other than to say it tastes like mouthwash.

The first swallow is good. Refreshingly so. After that first swallow, though, I'm done with it.

I'm glad, too. Costs too damn much for as much as I'd drink if I liked it as well as ginger ale.

I have a cheap and unsophisticated palate, apparently.

Back to IGA/Priceless.

Reed's is good but because it is pricey, I opt for Goslings - a six pack of cans is about 4 bucks.
