So we went the whole bad parent hog and all watched it tonight. It was funny to see extra funnies that mean nothing to Brits.... so many layers of subtlety ...and so much unsubtlety ....and so many catchphrases the kids already knew

...We don't need no stinking bad parent badges

The best (and most informative) bit was watching the kids' reactions to the various jokes and double entendres. Hebe got almost all of them and was embarassed by a few. Hector got the most obvious sexuals ones and was embarrassed, Thor missed them all but loved the slapstick and of the five of us probably enjoyed the movie the most. After the beans/farting round the campfire, he begged us to pause otherwise he "really was going to pee himself laughing"

interestingly, this movie was broadcast on network television back in the day. The only scene that was cut was the farting scene.
