I've seen the results of wrecks, where there wasn't a straight panel left after rolling over, even one with the windshield frame bent down 8 inches, and the top still worked.

First/favorite a shiney new (last model year) 1986 Jeep CJ-7 in medium blue metallic. Good times, good times... watching the winter olympics takes me back to our ski tripping.
