Why, are you Conservative party?

I just looked up the North Yorkshire County webpage. And I thought our politicians were frightening.

The names are definitely more interesting, something like Mrs. Gwendolyn Fieldstone-Hammertoes Smythe-Davies.

*chuckles* no. But I have divulged things on here that could damage me. More importantly, could damage my faction were the B&T (bastards and twats) in my own party to find them.

I like to be open in here. If there was anything more than a fleeting chance of one of them finding me in here I'd never be able to show weakness or vulnerability.

[eta] I'm pretty sure I am not looking for a political career. I toyed with it for a year or so, but I am less and less inclined to see myself in that role. I am a councillor for another 3 and a half years, unless I were willing to force a bye-election, which I can't currently imagine being. After that I very much doubt I'll stand again. Bit by bit I am disentangling myself and making myself less the person that people think of when looking for volunteers/allies. I still leaflet and stuff, and I go to some meetings. But I don't want to find myself drifting into a political career in 4 or 5 years because I am the automatic choice for the Left in our branch, to replace L as MP.

There's something quite seductive about coming into a group and being drawn in in that way. Being brought along as a potential successor and being viewed as a player....yeah, that's nice. But that isn't my life. That's not who I am.

I have both Myspace and Facebook. I use myspace to blog as my diary, but that darn site keep on stalling on me. And I have a friend who has a music page, so I joined. As for facebook, I wanted to see someone's pix, but this girl will only upload it onto her facebook page. So, I joined. I'll add y'all so I won't look like a loser with no friends.

found an old childhood friend on there. . . had to join. Plan on using it very minimally as it has my real name on there.

and besides, not sure I want to keep track of EVERY damn person I know, used to know, or who used to know me. just not THAT social.

That's the most wonderful thing about social networking I think. When Madz contacted me...blew me away. Like opening a portal to 1991 *smiles*
